At Thrive Natural Foods, Michelle Russell conducts cooking classes to give people the experience of using unprocessed ingredients to create a variety of wonderful dishes. One of her aims is to show us how easy it can be to eat extremely well. Michelle passes on tips about equipment and preparation that save time, effort and money as well as loads of information on lifestyle changes that will help us to live a longer, healthier life. Her knowledge is vast, her enthusiasm infectious.
This DVD contains 6 classes, a total of 10 hours viewing, on vegetarian cookery. You can print a manual for each class by loading the DVD into your computer. Then you can add your own notes as you watch the DVD. These classes are a lot of fun and will give you the information and the impetus you need to jump into this way of eating. The dishes included are:
Week 1 - Cleansing juices, teas, oat porridge, stewed fruit.
Week 2 - Super Salad, chick pea salad, hommus, seed sprinkle.
Week 3 - Delightful Dahl, baked tofu, steamed veggies.
Week 4 - Vegetable miso soup, baked vegies, guacamole and gomasio.
Week 5 - Pumpkin soup, millet, tempeh, stir-fry.
Week 6 - Watercress & potato soup, buckwheat, miso spread, Beta Salad, fruit balls.
These recipes follow the principles of The Gawler Foundation Diet very well, with the exception of the use of some oils and seeds.
At the start of disk 1, Michelle says this, and offers individual help to anyone following our diet, so they can cook these recipes and still stick
to the principles they have learned at The Gawler Foundation.
