A weekend retreat which guides proactive life planning for a purposeful year
Set your Compass for 2012 is a three day residential program at The Gawler Foundation's Living Centre in the beautiful Yarra Valley. In our busy lives, it is easy to be carried along by the hectic current of everyday demands without ever stepping back from the river of life to review where we are going.
The conclusion of Winter teaches us about the ever-present need to journey within, let go of that which no longer serves us and create new beginnings. With the promise of Spring, comes the opportunity to set new directions, plant new seeds and tend to our life and our heart's deepest desires.
The Set your Compass retreat will provide you with both the insights and the tools needed to reflect on life and that which is yearned for, and to set intentions into action so that the time ahead is fulfilling and aligned with your true purpose.

The process will include short talks, meditations and contemplations on the theme, artistic activities, individual and small group work and walks in nature including walking a labyrinth. Participants will develop a personal ‘road map’ document naming their key goals and values for the period ahead. Progress against this plan is reviewed during the year and updated on an annual basis.

Siegfried Gutbrod (MCounsHS, DipPsychophoneticsCouns, BBA)is the Therapeutic Director at The Gawler Foundation. Siegfried initially gained a degree in business administration and worked in corporate executive positions in the IT sector before getting involved in therapeutic work over 15 years ago. He holds a Masters degree in Counselling and Human Services and is also a meditation instructor. His particular interests are in empowering people to take charge of their own healing journey, the healing potential of laughter and providing emotional and spiritual support for end of life situations. Siegfried returned in 2009 from doing 5 years of humanitarian volunteer work in Africa.
