    Music for Meditation

    As well as touring as a concert performer, Michael has been working in the field of music for meditation for over twenty years. He has been working at The Gawler Foundation since 1991, providing his tranquil music to aid the meditative work with the "mindfulness music" sessions. He also runs the Twilight Music concerts, held every month at the Hawthorn Centre.

    Michael has 11 recordings to his name and is currently Musician-in-residence at the ROYAL BOTANIC GARDENS MELBOURNE.  He performs regularly around Australia as a solo artist but also with his groups 'Light of the Moon',  'Clair de Lune' and 'The Light Ensemble'.

    Sophie is a fully qualified Remedial and Relaxation Massage Therapist with over 10 years experience.  She holds a diploma of Remedial Massage with the Australian College of Massage & Natural Therapies and she is a Member of the Australian Association of Massage Therapists Ltd. She is passionate about people using massage as a medium to let go, relax and connect deeply with their inner selves.     Body Therapist - Shiatsu

    Rowena came to shiatsu after being the primary supporter for her mother Trish, a Gawler program participant in 1999. Trish found that following her fortnightly shiatsu session her meditation became more focused and her energy flowed with more strength and brightness. It is with a happy heart that Rowena finds herself with the skills and experience to offer wonderful bodywork sessions to people navigating major life change. Shiatsu works by releasing and rebalancing the Qi (energy) pathways of the body. Through the steady slow relaxing application of pressure along meridians and acu-points your entire body can be deeply nourished and revitalized. Rowena holds a diploma in Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies gained at the Australian Shiatsu College.  Participants remain fully clothed for shiatsu, please wear comfortable attire.

    Belinda recently completed six years of training with Melbourne's Australian Shiatsu College, she holds a Diploma of Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies. 

    Also registered with the STAA.  Belinda is very well versed and sensitive to the varying needs and requirements within the therapeutic relationship.  Her attitude to this is exceptionally holistic in nature with talents derived from a broad spectrum of experience.

    Jenni has been practicing the Feldenkrais Method for over 10 years and has assisted many people to relieve pain, find greater comfort and flexibility and improve their performance. The Feldenkrais approach uses small gentle movements of the skeleton to release muscular holding patterns and to re-establish skeletal support. Clients remain clothed, lying on a low wide table during the session. Feldenkrais is Ideal for people with pain, stiffness or movement limitations.  It is rebateable through several health funds.
