Bequests

Could you leave a gift for the future?

Making a bequest in your will is a very special way to show your support as it allows us to confidently plan for the future.  Even modest bequests can make a big difference; helping The Gawler Foundation to develop new services, improve facilities, undertake research and continue offering important health programmes.

"The outcome of cancer treatment depends on a patient's general health, immune reactions and psychological approach. Cancer support groups like those conducted by The Gawler Foundation deal with such factors as nutrition, stress management, meditation, relaxation and positive thinking. They are well deserving of your support."

-          Sir Edward Dunlop
Late distinguished Melbourne-based surgeon, Gawler Foundation supporter

Leaving a bequest to The Gawler Foundation is not difficult, however we do recommend that you discuss your intentions with your family and seek legal advice.  The correct wording of your gift in your Will is very important to ensure that your wishes are carried out exactly as you intended. The following wording may be of assistance:

"I ................... devise and bequeath to The Gawler Foundation, ABN 79 160 595 251, 55 Rayner Court, Yarra Junction, for its general purpose (insert % of estate, residue of estate, property/item or sum of money).  I direct that the receipt of the Chief Executive Officer or other proper officer of The Gawler Foundation shall be sufficient discharge to my Executors."

If you choose to notify us of your bequest, you will also be invited to become a member of our bequestor program and enjoy an even closer relationship with The Gawler Foundation.
